會長透露SD14後繼機(SD15？)會在9月舉行的Photokina展出。

The highly-anticipated Sigma DP1 compact camera (pictured) hasn’t even started shipping yet, but that hasn’t stopped Sigma from unveiling plans for the SD2 and SD3 successors. In an article in last week’s UK-based Amateur Photographer magazine, Sigma’s founder Michihiro Yamaki revealed that not one but two new Sigma compact cameras will be unveiled by the end of 2008. No concrete details were revealed about the possible specification. Yamaki also said in the PMA interview that the SD15 DSLR camera will be shown at the Photokina trade show in September 2008, featuring the same image processor as the DP1.

Sigma DP2 and DP3 coming later on says Amateur Photographer Informer magazine

The rumors are simmering for Photokina 2008, except these are not just rumors. They come from the mouth of the Sigma executive founder Michihiro Yamaki.

Details in this dpreview Sigma Talk forum discussion. You can check the Amateur Photographer UK site - I do not know if they plan to post content from The Informer online.

According to the AP Informer, Sigma plans a DP2 and DP3 non-DSLR camera, and one of them might have a zoom lens, and the other a focal length that is complimentary to the DP1. Or something like that. If you are in the UK, run to your local news stand or bookstore and grab the AP issue with the Informer magazine! :)

We already mentioned the new Sigma SD15 DSLR coming later this year. And while we are at it, be sure to check our early Photokina 2008 coverage.

If you are in the US, you can subscribe to Amateur Photographer UK via Amazon for $229 per year. Not sure how long it takes for the latest issue to arrive. The AP UK is a weekly magazine. That's right, weekly, not monthly!

SD14突然變便宜，日本目前有2種猜測，

1.SD14的成本中Foveon x3感光元件價格佔了不少比例，
而感光元件等電子零組件的價格隨著數量會有很大不同。
由於DP1的量產，感光元件的需求數量增加，使得感光元件的單價大幅降低。
SD14也因此能夠降價。

2.SIGMA也許於SD9、SD10時經歷過庫存處理的痛苦經驗，所以SD14就儘早處理。

用了人家制訂好、公開的規格，連AF都不能動，那就像是Netscape和微軟先後惡搞html規格一樣Orz
